Are you immigration attorneys?
No. OneStep Visas is a licensed immigration consultancy, not a law firm. We prepare and file visa applications, coach clients through interviews and manage documentation. For cases that require courtroom representation — for example removal proceedings — we refer to trusted partner attorneys we have worked with for years.
How much does a typical case cost?
Single-visa engagements (tourist, student, basic work) start at $850 plus government filing fees. Complex cases such as green cards, family adjustment, or employment-based petitions are quoted in writing after your free discovery call. You will never receive a bill that wasn’t agreed in advance.
How long does the U.S. visa process take?
It depends on visa type and current embassy backlog. Tourist visas typically take 2–8 weeks of preparation plus consular scheduling; H-1B work visas 2–6 months; K-1 fiancé(e) visas 8–12 months; family-based green cards 10–18 months. We give you an honest, written estimate at the start of your case.
Do you work with clients outside New York?
Yes. We serve clients across all 50 U.S. states and in more than 60 countries. Almost everything can be handled by phone, video and our secure document portal — though we’re always happy to meet in person if you’re in the New York area.
What if I’ve already been refused a visa?
Refusals are not the end. We start with a written assessment of why your case was refused (most commonly under section 214(b)), then help you decide whether re-applying is realistic and how to strengthen the file before you do.
Do you guarantee approval?
No reputable consultant or attorney can — and any one who does should be a red flag. The decision belongs to USCIS or the consular officer. What we can guarantee is careful preparation, an honest assessment of your odds, and the strongest possible filing on your behalf.
Is my information confidential?
Absolutely. Documents you upload to our secure portal are encrypted at rest and in transit. We don’t share your file with anyone outside your case team, and we never sell or rent client data. See our
Privacy Policy for full details.
What languages do you work in?
English, Spanish, Russian and Mandarin in-house. For other languages we work with a vetted network of certified translators and can arrange interpretation for consular interviews.
How do I get started?
Do you offer payment plans?
For multi-stage engagements (green cards, employment cases, family petitions) we offer a milestone-based payment schedule tied to filing stages, so you’re never paying for work that hasn’t happened yet. We accept ACH, major credit cards and wire transfer.
