Patient, principled and quietly proud of the families and careers we’ve helped build in the United States.
OneStep Visas began in the spring of 2014 as a one-person practice. Our founder, Jerry Ritter, had spent nearly a decade inside larger immigration firms and watched too many people get lost in their own paperwork — confused by jargon, charged by the hour, and rarely able to reach the person actually handling their case.
He set out to do the opposite: small caseloads, flat written quotes, and honest conversations about what was realistic. Word travelled. Eleven years later we’re a team of eight, still based in New York, still answering our own phones, and still proud of the kind of careful work that doesn’t scale unless you let it grow slowly.
Today, OneStep Visas serves clients in more than sixty countries — from a recent graduate applying for her first F-1, to a startup founder navigating an O-1, to a grandfather hoping to attend a grandchild’s wedding on a B-2.

If a case is weak, we say so. We won’t take a fee for a filing we don’t believe in.
Plain English, written timelines and a flat quote — never hourly billing surprises.
Your documents and your story stay between you and your case manager. Always.
Immigration is rarely fast. We measure success by outcomes, not by transaction volume.
